Let go life: Definition of Dragon Boat Festival and other countries call it, holiday schedule

The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as the Dragon Boat Festival (“Zhengwu Festival”) or Dumpling Festival or Double Five Festival, is celebrated with dragon boat racing and rice dumpling making. It is one of the four traditional festivals in China, alongside the Spring Festival, Qingming Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival.


Besides China, many other Asian countries also celebrate this festival. In Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Taiwan, it is known as the Bak Chang Festival ("Dumpling Festival").

The Dragon Boat Festival in 2022 is June 3 (Friday). China will have 3 public holidays from Friday (June 3) to Sunday (June 5).
